Colour A Flanelle 1 skein
Colour B Berlingot 2 skeins
Colour C Ecru 1 skein
For two cushions I have used 1 skein Ecru, 3 skeins (2 and 1/4) Flanelle and 2 skeins Berlingot. If you crochet loose, you will need 3 skeins Berlingot.
Pillow: 40 x 40 cm
Hook: 8,0 mm
UK terms used:
st – stitch
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
Ss – slip stitch
ch-sp – chain space
Picot – ch 4, ss in 4th loop from hook.
Tips: The pattern is worked in rows back and forth. From row 2 and forward, all rows begin with ch 1. It is a turning st (do not count it). In this pattern, it is the even rows that are the right side. Do not fasten off on any rows,
Ch 33 with colour A.
Row 1: Dc in second loop from hook, 1 dc in every stitch. (32 dc)
Row 2: 1 dc in each of the two first st, ch 12, *1 dc in each of the following 4 st, ch 12, repeat * to the end of the row and finish with 1 dc in each of the last two st. (32 dc and eight ch12-sp)
Row 3: 1 dc in every st (skip all ch-sp). (32 dc)
Row 4: 1 dc in every st (32 dc).
Row 5: 1 dc in every st, but when you make the last dc, yarn over with colour B and pull through loop.
Row 6 – 9: Colour B. Repeat row 2 – 5, but on the last row, pull colour A through loop on the last dc.
Repeat row 2 – 9 until you have 5 parts with colour A and 4 parts with colour B.
When you have made row 5 with colour A the last time (this time you do not change colour on the last st) it is time to join all your ch12-sp. Pull every loop through the loop below.
Joining-row: 1 dc in each of the first two st, *put hook through ch-sp and make a dc in next st, 1 dc in each of the following 3 dc, repeat* to the end of the row, but finish with one dc in the last st after dc through ch-sp. (32 dc)
Last row: 1 dc in every st. (32 dc). Fasten off.
